Good luck on catching up to the collectors who are already on their way to surpassing the 400 physical Nintendo Switch games (all regions and all sealed/un-opened) mark :D
It makes you feel better for a few seconds until you find out that at the end of the day, the list or pics (or both) your massive collection, well, nobody really cares about.
They look amazing displayed on your shelf...
And guess what, no one cares but you.
I used to be like all the collectors out there.
I had over 300 GameCube games, over 500 DS games, over 100 N64 games and the list goes on!
I collected a ridiculous amount of games from all systems and it never seemed to end.
I'd show them off and people would be nice and compliment me, but that's it. I didn't get any reward or anything for spending $100K+ in 21 years of collecting.
In fact, I found out that my hoarding of games was a form of gambling and sickness that I couldn't stop.
Even now, I'm fucked up and want to catch them all like Pokémons...all the money I've spent on games, I could have invested, but I didn't.
I have nothing against you and good luck with it all.
If it makes you smile seeing your huge collection of games, then good on ya, mate.
Although, it's creatures like @nacsgaming who are purely sick and need help with their addiction :)
Also, I really admire all those other collectors in the wild who only collect AAA titles or games that are considered amazing.
No point in collecting shovel-ware.
But then again, the sick in the head collectors like necrogamer (that's the nickname I'm giving him now, lol) want to own the complete set (eventually own 100% of the library), but pretend they play a lot of their games , lol.
@SONY I'm glad you're slowly doing better in regard to hoarding games. I used to be the same with manga until last year I sold a significant amount and decided to not jump into a new series until I read at least one of those I have completed.
Which is luckily not that hard of a prospect - there's very little on the market right now that is of interest to me, so I can take it slow and focus on the things I already own but haven't read/played/watched.
I also don't get the people who want to own media simply for the sake of owning them - to me, any medium is defined by its content and if the content is uninteresting to me, why buy it?
