The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ Teased by Creator in Seven-Part Tweet-Chain

Tyrone Rodriguez has taken to Twitter to give us what might be the most blatant tease yet, a seven-part tweet-chain which basically spells it out for us.

The Binding of Isaac is a roguelike top-down dungeon crawler in which players take control of the titular Isaac or a variety of other unique characters – taking them on adventures through dungeons located in Isaac’s basement. Each character has their own special qualities and skills, with each option having a different feel to the player. The game is loosely based on the biblical story of the same name, but unlike that which its based on this story has thirteen possible endings.

Sound cool? Well time for some good news…

While we’ve long suspected that The Binding of Isaac‘s latest rendition would be coming to the Nintendo Switch, we never really had anything that said so in any sort of blatant manner. Surprise; not anymore! It seems that around twenty four hours ago we got our most blatant (if you speak coded message, anyways) tease yet – an acrostic cipher which spells out “The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+; coming to Switch in Spring 2017.”

Check it out for yourself below;

These tweets can be found on Tyrone’s Twitter here if you’re looking to verify (you need to read them in feed-order), but the bottom line is that they point to the release of the game on the upcoming Nintendo Switch this Spring – adding to the ever growing hinted, rumoured, and confirmed future library.
