We accept feature pitches from freelancers to be published in the print magazine on a regular basis. Most of the time, these will be on a specific theme, although sometimes we have an open call. Opportunities will be listed on this webpage and pitches received outside of these calls will not be considered.

We love hearing unique takes, personal experiences, in-depth analysis, and other cool things, whether this is in the form of an essay, op/ed, listicle, short guide, or something else along those lines, although this list is non-exhaustive and we’re always looking for interesting new perspectives. We do not typically accept speculation- or wishlist-based features, however, and we do not publish fiction. Please do not pitch reviews, as these are assigned to our staff writers.
Our rates are £30 for a 700-1000 word feature, and we also send a hard copy of the magazine to contributors. We accept pitches from international contributors and encourage underrepresented voices to apply.
