London based publisher Curve Digital have been teasing a Switch announcement on its Twitter page and today has announced that rogue-lite The Flame in the Flood by The Molasses Flood will be coming to the Switch this month.
The game originally launched on Windows, OS X, and Xbox One in February 2016, and at the beginning of 2017 on the PlayStation 4. Originally it was supported via a successful Kickstarter campaign and features the input of individuals who have worked previously on Halo 2, Rock Band, and BioShock.
The Flame in the Flood follows Scout and her canine companion Aesop as they attempt to survive the perilous journey down a procedurally generated river through a long-forgotten America. Scout can craft items using parts scavenged from the word to help defend herself and increase her chances of survival. Failure to do so results in permanent death, although along the river checkpoints are unlocked providing start points for later attempts.
The trailer can be found below, and if this sounds like your kind of game, then good news, as you won’t have to wait long to get your hands on it as it launches next week (12th October) on the eShop.
