The ultimate version of Mario Kart 8 is headed to the Nintendo Switch shortly after launch, bringing a race anywhere attitude and all the great bits from its Wii U version (including DLC) to a new generation!
In addition to all the great bits from the original version,ย the Nintendo Switch version will also see new guest characters – with Inkling Girl & Inkling Boy from Splatoon, King Boo, Dry Bones, and Bowser Jr joining the fray. There will even be three new vehicles added – two of which are inspired by Splatoon, a new smart steering feature – whereby even novices might be able to stay on the road at 200cc, new courses – like Urchin Underpass or Battle Stadium, and even the ability to carry two items at the same time.
Oh, and did we mention that it’s 1080p in TV Mode? That too! ๐
As for the multiplayer aspect of the game, it’ll have you playing locally with up to 4 players, with local wireless (2 Switches) up to 8 players, and online up to a whopping 12 players. You’ll probably have to get more friends to fill all those slots, but with the Switch and a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe that should be a cinch – right?
