Upfall Studios and Flyhigh Works are bringing this turn-based strategy game to the Nintendo Switch, with Japan getting it next week and the rest of the world (hopefully) soon after.
A turn-based dungeon-crawling roguelike, Quest of Dungeons pits you up against an evil lord and his minions – saving the world from the darkness (quite literally). You’ll enter his procedurally generated lair and take on new foes and traps with each try, trying to get back the light the evil bugger has stolen from the world.
As for our protagonist, he takes the form of either a Warrior, Wizard, Assassin, or Shaman; learning more and acquiring new skills through the Tomes you find and buy along the way. As the player however, you’ll have the choice from four difficulties – but aside from that this game is all about that permadeath (so try not to die). There are also leaderboards to try and climb, so don’t be afraid to “go big or go home” when necessary.

Quest of Dungeons is due out August 10th in Japan, with a Western release in the books but not yet dated. Keep an eye out for more details (hopefully) soon.
