If you’ve popped onto the eShop on Nintendo Switch recently, you’ll have noticed a small and welcome addition.
Nintendo have stealthily added a ‘Current Offers’ section to the eShop (the same section is called ‘Games on Sale’ in the US eShop), highlighting the games which are – you guessed it – currently on offer.
At the time of writing, three games are currently discounted in the EU eShop: Unbox Newbie’s Adventure at 10% off, The Bridge at 25% off and Infinite Mini Golf at 30% off. The US eShop is the same minus the inclusion of Unbox Newbie’s Adventure.
This is a nice improvement to the eShop, although in this writer’s opinion it still has a long way to go if it is to be the streamlined, convenient marketplace the fans expect and deserve. Why is there no preloading yet? Where is the demo section? And can we please get some music going, Nintendo?
Hopefully we’ll see some more updates and improvements in the future, but for now, it’s a good step in the right direction.
