A surprise release has cropped up in this week’s North American eShop, with popular streaming service Hulu now available on Nintendo’s current platform.
This arrival is significant for the Switch as a platform, as it is the first video streaming service to be made available to the public in the West. Hopefully this marks the start of a trend, and we will see the likes of Netflix and Amazon Video arriving soon. The Switch received some criticism at launch for not having features like VOD and internet browsers, with Nintendo focusing on a clean UI and the core gaming experience.
Hulu holds host to various different films and television programmes, even exclusives such as Stephen King’s 11.22.63.
