There is a secret tribute to Iwata in every Switch

It’s recently been discovered that hidden within the software on the Nintendo Switch, there is a secret game, an emulation of NES Golf form 1984.

Now courtesy of the video below we can actually see the game running on a Switch.

The inclusion of the game seems to be a tribute to the late Satoru Iwata who programmed the game during his early career at Hal Laboratory. In order to access the game you’ll first need to have the date set to 11th July and perform the famous Iwata hand gesture from Nintendo Directs using the Joy-Con controllers. It’s a nice touch to see this in every Switch and I am sure many fans will enjoy having this little Easter egg present. Cue international NES Golf day on 11th July.

What do you think of the tribute? Let us know in the comments below.
