You Can Now Redeem My Nintendo Gold Points on the Nintendo Switch eShop

You can now redeem those shiny Gold Points against digital games and DLC content on the Nintendo Switch eShop.

It was announced earlier this week that as of March 5th, Nintendo Switch users can now redeem their My Nintendo Gold Points against purchases of digital games and DLC packages on the Nintendo Switch eShop.

My Nintendo is Nintendo’s loyalty and rewards scheme, whereby members can earn up to 5% of their money back on purchases of both physical and digital Nintendo Switch products in the form of Gold Points. These Gold Points can then be used as currency to pay towards further purchases of digital games and DLC packs on the Nintendo Switch eShop. To find out more about how My Nintendo rewards work with Nintendo Switch, see our previous post here. You can also read all about Gold Points and their uses on Nintendo Switch on the My Nintendo website here.

Gold Points can be spent both on the Nintendo Switch eShop itself and via the Nintendo Store website, so there are multiple ways to use your points and get the most out of them. Earning and redeeming Gold Points (as well as the use of My Nintendo in the first place) requires the use of a Nintendo Account, so if you don’t have one yet and would like to sign up for one, you can do so by visiting this page and selecting ‘create account’. To find out more about how to use your Gold Points, you can visit Nintendo UK’s official announcement page here.

What are you most excited to spend your Gold Points on? I’m thinking that I might redeem mine against Cardboard Keep’s Puzzle Puppers! Be sure to follow us here at Switch Player for all the latest news about Nintendo Switch rewards.
