Nintendo rapidly dig themselves out of a launch drought.
Those of you wondering whether the e-shop would be ready for March 3rd worry no longer, as both Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove and the newest addition to the Shovel Knight series, Specter of Torment will arrive alongside Shin’en Multimedia’s Fast RMX on launch day.
That’s not all, in addition to this announcement, Nintendo have confirmed that to celebrate the news that more than 60 “Nindie” releases in 2017 there will be a localised “Nindies Showcase” video on Nintendo.co.uk at 17:30 GMT on February 28th.
Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment is the latest campaign in the critically acclaimed series from Yacht Club Games and stars Specter Knight, one of the enemies from the now-retitled Shovel of Hope. This prequel campaign contains so much new content and is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch for a limited time, as is Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove. The complete collection of Shovel Knight titles, you’ll be able to access Shovel of Hope, Plague of Shadows and Specter of Torment from here.
Fast RMX is a-lightning fast arcade racer EXCLUSIVE to the Nintendo Switch, and one of the games I most enjoyed at the recent hands-on event. More than reminiscent of F-Zero and WipEout, this game is certainly on my launch day shopping list.
Nintendo also confirmed to us that the Switch will benefit form the shared wallet that the 3DS and Wii U have, once you’ve linked your NNID (Nintendo Network ID) and your Nintendo Accounts.
What do you make of all this news? Will you be picking Shovel Knight or Fast RMX up on launch?
