Switch Player Weekly Round-Up – September 24th, 2017

We’ve had a busy week here at Switch Player HQ – several of the team explored the sights and sounds of EGX 2017, getting our hands on the latest and greatest. (Our founder, Paul, seems to think that he scored a “worldie” on Fifa 18 but we all know it was a cross. Feel free to tweet him simply saying “it was a cross” to set him straight!). The news stories are a little bare this week but the reviews are still coming in thick and fast with six more Switch games to read up on. Take a look through this article to see what you may have missed this week on Switch Player!

WWE 2K18 Roster Finalised

Wresting fans rejoice! The roster for WWE 2K18 has been completely finalised and it will contain a pretty staggering list of 170 wrestlers! Being the lovely guy that he is, our Staff Writer, Oli, has compiled a list of every single one of them (yes, really) for your viewing pleasure!

Sonic Forces getting Shadow DLC

It has been confirmed that DLC will be made available for Sonic Forces allowing you to play as fan-favourite, Shadow. Sega has promised that the DLC will be free for all players and not exclusive to the Digital Bonus Edition which is great news indeed!

Pokkén Tournament DX Review

The big one this week – Pokkén Tournament DX has made its way to Nintendo Switch, allowing you to duke it out in the arena with a pleasing cast of Pocket Monsters. Yours truly has taken the time to explain exactly why you should get the game for yourself in this review.

LEGO Worlds Review

LEGO Worlds has been closely linked to Minecraft thanks to the gameplay and design being seemingly inspired by the multi-gazillion selling sandbox game. Can it possibly live up to such high expectations, though? Find out by reading our review right here!

Sonic Mania Review

Sonic Mania received an awful lot of praise when it first released with fans seemingly all agreeing that the blue blur was back to his best. Should you be snapping up this game as fast as you possibly can, then? Why not take a look on our verdict here?

Beach Buggy Racing Review

Perhaps unfairly so, releasing a kart-racer on the Switch will instantly have people comparing the game to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Of course, it would take a lot to knock Mario out of pole position, but does Beach Buggy Racing stand up in it’s own right? Find out in our review!

NeuroVoider Review

NeuroVoider was loved by fans when it released on Steam last year. The game is a twin-stick shooter RPG that sees you shooting down evil robots with nuclear rocket launchers and we have the full run-down on whether or not you should be picking this up for your Nintendo Switch.

Semispheres Review

Another twin-stick title, Semispheres sees you controlling two characters at once on opposite sides of the screen to solve puzzle-like levels. If you want to see whether this puzzle adventure might be for you, read our full review here!
