Reviews

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

A game that needs no introduction; Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle has been stealing more of our time and attention than Rabbid Kong has been stealing bananas. It’s probably little surprise that our editor-in-chief, Charlie, gave it high praise in his review.

forma.8

A rather different take on the Metroidvania genre, forma.8 was yet another great title recently released for the console. If you want to find out more about this “compelling adventure [with] awe-inspiring exploration”, take a look at our full review here.

STRIKERS1945 for Nintendo Switch

The first of two classic Japanese arcade games that received reviews this week, STRIKERS1945 for Nintendo Switch (to give it its full title) is “a challenging but fun experience”. Why not see if this arcade shooter is for you by reading the full review?

League of Evil

Another high-scoring title is up next in League of Evil. In his review our staff writer, Oliver, described the gameplay as being a cross between Slime-san and Super Meat Boy, which is pretty high praise indeed. Read the full verdict here.

GUNBARICH

The second of the two classic arcade games reviewed on the site this week was GUNBARICH. Developed by the same team behind STRIKERS1945, this game has several similarities to its predecessor but wasn’t quite as successful in our eyes. Take a look for yourself.

Use Your Words

Rounding off the reviews for this week is Use Your Words. A game that “can be a bundle of laughs if your friendship group features one or two comedy geniuses, but without them could border on the mundane”, Use Your Words might be one that you should read up on before purchasing – which you can do right here!
